After selecting a supervisor, you will be shown the relevant information for writing a thesis under their supervision. This typically includes details on possible topics, methodology, requirements, and the overall supervision process.
Students enrolled in the MIME programme are subject to additional requirements. The thesis must be written within the scope of MIME, ideally under the supervision of a MIME professor at the University of Bern: Luca Benati, Pierpaolo Benigno, Cyril Monnet, or Dirk Niepelt.
As MIME is a joint programme with the University of Basel, students may alternatively write their thesis under the supervision of a MIME professor at the University of Basel. This option must, however, be explicitly discussed and approved in advance with Pierpaolo Benigno and Sally Dubach.
