Welcome to the Department of Economics
The following information is intended for students from our partner universities who wish to attend economics courses at the University of Bern.
We are delighted to welcome you to Bern!
Courses
Unless otherwise stated, Bachelor-level courses at the University of Bern are taught in German. However, at the Department of Economics, one out of five Bachelor lectures is offered in English.
Master’s courses are generally taught in English.
Please note that, although most courses are offered regularly, the final course schedule for upcoming semesters is usually published about 2–4 months before the start of the semester.
Exchange students are also welcome to attend courses offered by other faculties and departments, such as Sociology, Law, Humanities, or Natural Sciences.
